All the Lodges that meet at the Hall raise money for both Masonic and non-Masonic charities during the year. Most of the money raised comes from members' own pockets. Masons do not raise money for charity by rattling tins in the High Street.
Last year alone (1st May 2005 - 30th April 2006) the combined total raised by the members of this centre was in excess of £30,000.
In previous years, members from all over the Province of Surrey, donated in excess of £100,000 to the Boxing Day Tsunami appeal.
A list of some of those Charities supported in the past include:
- Prostate Cancer
- Stroke Association
- Searchlight Workshops
- GUTS
- Phylis Tuckwell Hospice
- Breast Cancer
- MacMillan Nuses
- Willow Foundation.
