The building and effects were owned by Bramston Beach Lodge 2101 which, when the Association was formed, conveyed the whole of the Hall together with furniture and fittings to the Association.

The construction of a road though Godalming to relieve traffic congestion in the High Street had been discussed for years until 1971 serious consideration was given to the project and eventually the route was established. This necessitated the demolition of the Masonic Hall and the County Council agreed to find and assist in the purchase of a suitable site and erection of alternative accommodation. So, in 1988, the present Masonic Hall was constructed on land opposite the Inn of the Lake.
